Consistency aside, Cheney said it. He meant it and he went ahead and did it anyway and the Republicans blindly followed him.

Some Republicans definitely stay stupid, that's for sure.

Nice try at spinning. The facts are as follows: During Dessert Storm we had an agreement with the other countries in the coalition that we would only drive Iraq out of Kuwait and destroy their ability to wage war. We specifically agreed not to occupy Iraq as part of the coalition deal.

That is why Cheney was against continuing on to Baghdad at that time. Since then, Saddam and his troops routinely violated the terms of the cease fire. Finally, after 9/11 happened the President decided that overthrowing Saddam was in our own best interest. He went to Congress and Congress agreed. Practically unanimously. That includes Democrats like Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Charles Schumer and Ted Kennedy.

Since America decided to send the troops into Iraq even those who originally were against sending them in in 1996, why single out the Vice-President? Be careful that much disingenuous spin can cause vertigo.

1994 was before Iraq had had a chance to continuously violate mandate after mandate. At that time, No we shouldnt have invaded.

Its arguable that any invasion of Iraq was good for the American people. However, its done, it was put to a vote and we are there now. The best thing that we can do is try to decide what next.

You are pulling a quote out of context from thirteen years ago and think it's signifigant in any way?

Let me guess, you saw that quote on the internet probably from a video someone made that you have no idea about?

I'll bet you actually paid for Michael Moore's Hollywood-made-for-profit entertainment and believed every word delivered to you like it was fact too?

Why wasn't this shown before the Iraq war started? I don't understand the point of showing it now. 911 should have had no bearing on the attack on Iraq. It should have never happened. It seems that 911 just caused many people to lose their grip on reality in a time of panic and fear.

Perhaps Cheney did change his mind.

Bill Clinton was consistent. He stood by and let the Terrorists have their way for 8 years.
(He was "busy" having fun & playing games".)
