Hi,
I have a gallon container (half full) of Prestone Antifreeze and a gallon container (3/4 full ) of Prestone purified water. I bought these about 14 years ago. Can I still use these to top the coolant level in my car from time to time ? . Is there really any such thing called expiry date on these things ? Thanks for your responses in advance !!!

The water is probably OK to use, but as for the Antifreeze, I would dump that down the toilet and get rid of it. I would save yourself the doubt and get a new gallon of antifreeze.

Just for the record, you can use plain distilled water from the supermarket. This is what I use to make my mixture. Just don't use the spring water, as the minerals in it will solidify inside the block and cylinder head causing scale and potential overheating issues in the future.

Good Luck!

And in 100 years that green stuff will be used for your plasma drive on your anti gravity car. I have never seen ethylene glycol go bad in a sealed container.

hello. I would say NO, you're showing us in writing it is like, say, four teen years old. Recycle it, and get some newer fresher antifreeze. good luck
