Okay first of all I love dogs and own dogs and think they are the best pet and animal in the world.

But a man shouldn't go to jail over some dogs. They are just dogs. Not human

Dogs naturally fight. My uncle's pit used to fight the neibors pit all the time until they put up a fence. They fight on there own. Dogfighting really shouldn't be illegal. Chicken fights are actually fun to watch

Points is a man shouldn't take this much punishment over some dogs. If some non celeb fought dogs nobody would say nothing but everybody hates vick.

And has anybody ever heard of innocent until proven guilty. When did the judge say vick was guilty? When?

And whats the deal with this. Here are some answers to vick questions. "Vick is a Thug" "Vick is a n----" "Sack Vick" "Kill Vick" "Vick should be shot, hanged, and drowned"

Now the last one was just plain disturbing. he attended a better college than you did.

Feel free to say "I hate Vick" and get 5 thumbs up by some PETA worker.

And if you dont think Vick was a good QB then you dont know what a good QB is. If you can make plays on the ground and in the air like he can then you wouldn't be reading this for sure.

In 2006, Vick became the only quarterback in NFL history to rush for over 1,000 yards during the regular season.
In 2006, Vick set the NFL record for most yards per carry in a season, at 8.4.
When Vick and RB Jerious Norwood both ran for over 100 yards in Week 4 of the 2006 season, the Falcons became the only NFL team to ever record two games in a franchise's history where both the quarterback and a running back on the same team surpassed the 100-yard mark in the same game. (Vick and Warrick Dunn both eclipsed 100 yards in Week 2 of the same season.)
Vick (1,039 yards) and Dunn (1,140) became the first QB/RB tandem in NFL history to each go over the 1,000-yard rushing mark in the same season. They also became the fourth set of teammates in league history to each have 1,000 or more yards. The last set of teammates to accomplish the feat were Cleveland RBs Kevin Mack (1,104 yards) and Earnest Byner (1,002) in 1985.
Earned his second consecutive and third overall Pro Bowl nod in 2

Well stated.

I believe what Vick has been accused of is bad in nature.
But, as you said, their animals not humans. Not saying that it's acceptable but people are taking things too far.

Most of the people who want HIM 'killed' are mostly animal lovers who treat their pets better than they do humans.

IMO the stupid thing he did was do something that jeopardized his career.

I guess I must not know what a good QB is. I always thought a good QB was one who knew what to do with the football and performed at a consistently high level while helping the team to win games that matter.
I didn't realize a good qb was a guy has a good looking highlight reel, makes poor decisions with the football, and doesn't hesitate to blame everyoneelse on the team.
My mistake.

You don't see anything wrong with having an illegal gambling operation? You think those dogs ould have been in that ring killing each other either way? Do you think that those dogs were going to be hung from raftersand then drowned if they survived even without the dog fighting ring?

Innocent? Sure he's presumed innocent. That's why he's not in jail right now. But it's clear that right now there is no question of his guilt. He's just trying to work out the best deal for himself at this point.

Attended a better college? Did he graduate? Do you really think he learned anything other than a playbook while he was there?

People like you defending vick are only making the backlash against him worse. Youare pushing people to a further extreme. Good Job. Five thumbs up.

Um, I hope this ainn't the TruBlu and Maze, I've seen posting elsewhere, cause whatever respect I used ta have for you just wen't out the window.

Chicken fighting is kinda fun? You need serious help, fella.

I agree that the vick is thug answers some of the guys post are really a waste of type, but about innocent......innocent people don't have their lawyers making plea bargains. People caught red-handed, who might be able to fry an even bigger fish do. And according to the indictments, Vick is still a little fish( a rich little fish, mind you) in a much bigger pond.

And if you truly "loved Dogs", you would not find it entertaining. And people who love dogs don't condone drowning, hanging, electrocuing, and snapping the spines of dogs. I bet you love kids too. Do you condone child abuse?!?!?!?!?!

GET HELP!!!!!!!!

*BroncoSox, I think you should get BA, bro! I'd give you the 10pts if I could, cause we know this freak won't.

*JimT, I've told you you are an idiot before, and now you make me do it again. Pits, and Rotts too for that matter are very gentle natured unless they are trained to be mean, or are backed in a corner. Spent my life around both, and the only time I ever got hurt was when a friends Rottie thought it was a lap dog.

well the fact that he trained, fought, killed...dogs does not mean that he is a bad person.... just not very intelligent.....his "friends" rolled on him in a new york minute... proving that he has some judgment issues...and the fact that he is also being charged under federal racateering acts....yes the same one that the feds use to bring down know mobsters... maybe he should have talked it over with his brother hhahahaha...two wasted nfl talents in the same house....my real concern is the fact that there was illegal gambling involved...and thats an offense punished by a life time ban from the nfl...was he fixing some games to get these thugs off his back, because his infective play in some games sure does look that way to me....and the punishment for these acts should be a ban from the nfl....if they can prove illegal gambleing...im sure the 3 other guilty fingers pointing at vick and saying that he is the ring leader and funder of an ILLEGAL dog fighting while a public figure should ruin his rep so bad that he will never get a nother shoe, soda, whatever deal ever...which is a punishment good enough for me...oh yeah plus a couple years in the pen

Michael Vick is a below average quarterback. Plain and simple. If you know anything about football, have eyes, ears, and use them, you would know this. Joe Montana, Randall Cuningham, Warren Moon, Dan Marino, Steve Young, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Eli, Archie, and Peyton Manning, Vince Young, Steve Mcnair, Doug Williams, I can go on and on and on about great quarterbacks, Vick doesn't even qualify in the top 300 of all time, because he has no heart, no leadership qualities whatsoever, and does not understand that you have to be dedicated to the game to be a winner and a good player. He is an excellent running back, possible hall of fame material for this position, but a downright terrible qb. He does not put in the time, nor does he care about leading the team, he is more interested in torturing and abusing animals, which then leads to serial killers, suicide bombers, etc, etc. That is how Jeffrey Dahmer got his start, byt mutilating and torturing dogs, cats, whatever he could get his mitts on. Then he figured out, you know I could do this to people and this would be cool..... very disturbing. The fact Michael Vick has no remorse, conscience, or feelings whatsoever tells me he has every chance to become just like Dahmer.
Dogs cannot speak for themselves, we must be their voice, and majority rules and states that dog fighting is illegal, and you are going to be big bubba's shower buddy for doing it. Go ahead and pick up the soap, bubba will show you a taste of how those dogs felt to be helpless and just simply used.
While he has not "yet" been convicted of these horrible things, his army of attorneys is working on a plea deal in which he will admit that he has done these things, he will go to prison, and he will never play in the NFL again. I do not personally dislike Vick, I dislike his lack of respect for life, his lack of respect for the NFL, for the Falcons, for his teammates, and for the god given talent he has. He rolled the dice, and he probably pulled a Donaghy and bet on his own games as well, if you have a problem with gambling large enough to watch animals kill each other, it is not a large stretch to say he bet on his own games, and probably tanked a few either. Vick has no self-respect, no heart, and is more than likely a coward at his core, all of which will come out as the months and years go by.
Now your statement "they are just dogs, not human" is disturbing to me as well, do you enjoy torturing and mutilating animals? Do you feel a kinship with Vick, because he behaves as you do? Maybe you should seek some help, a professional maybe, and speak about your personal lack of regard and respect for life.............

Why are people like you so clueless about laws? What good are laws, if you just let people break them without fear of punishment? Dog fighting is a Felony in every state. There are more charges that can still be brought against him so regardless of how many braindead people like yourself who say he was only killing and fighting dogs, fact is he knowingly and willingly commited a felony and will be punished for it as he should be. And could very well have more punishment forthcoming for gambling which not only includes jail time but a lifetime ban from the NFL.

Vick only went to Pro-Bowls because of popularity and sports marketing, not because of QB talent. It was a crime! You guys keep saying that it is just some dogs. That is certainly bad enough, but Vick was head of, or at least the financier of a criminal network of dog-fighting, gambling, and drug sales. He was involved with his old childhood crew. He is basically a black John Gotti complete with payoffs to the local officials and everything. Why do you think the FEDS are all over this for crissake? The extra charges that the FEds are going to file if Vick doesn't plea out, are RICO charges usually reserved for the Mafia. Thay carry 20 year sentences! IT IS MORE THAN JUST SOME DOGS! (But he should do at least a year for the dogs alone).

This is not about how good someone is or is not in any sport. Or is it about how many past awards someone might have won. It's about someone who is allegedly willing to put up the money to watch one animal kill another animal. Also if the dog doesn't perform well they allegedly drown, electrocute, or hang the dog. What if we did that to our athletes that didn't perform well? Your right they are only dogs but I believe Vick should not be around dogs or be allowed to own one, you either for that matter! It's just wrong and immoral !!!!

If you break the law you have to pay the price. I don't care if your superman or a super slob if your not willing to do the time then don't do the crime. If you don't like the law work to change it don't just ignore it. By the way Vick is charged with conspiracy to commit a felony , not dog fighting. In other wards he's charged with financing the dog fights. As for his NFL career remember the NFL's prohibition on betting and the lifetime bans it has handed out for gambling. What do you think Vick was doing at these dog fights? He wasn't financing this thing for nothing.

So why did your uncle put up a fence? I mean he should have just put up a BETTING TABLE AND ILLEGALLY GAMBLED ON DOGFIGHTS. I find it funny that you bring up about the fighting naturally, and for the record these dogs that Vick had were STARVED and DRUGGED to fight for starters, yet also point out a FENCE was built. I could go on with the list of things wrong with your "argument" but why waste my time.

First of all, and I have to say this, Vick is overrated for how many endorsements he does. Nobody with a 52% pass completion percentage deserves his own shoe! Manning doesn't even have his own shoe! LT doesn't even have his own shoe! All the accomplishments that you posted about him last year, look at them again. They are all RUNNING accomplishments. As far as I know, Vick is supposed to be a QUARTERBACK.

Dogs naturally fighting is one thing. Dogs being trained to fight...that's another. That and cockfighting are known as "bloodsports", and you can see by the title why we are trying to make them illegal.

The judge never said Vick was guilty. However, there is enough evidence stacked against him (including 3 ex-codefendants) to make a solid bet that he financed and was involved with Bad Newz Kennels. It's called "common sense".

Now, I've said "Sack Vick" a lot of times. But only when I'm watching the Falcons on TV. I don't want him to be killed, or hanged, even though he did that to the dogs (I can back that up with evidence too). 5 years in a minimum security prison is good enough for me.
