Remember the man who was the sole survivor of a mine cave in in Virginia. How is he doing?

I remember his wife on television and he was seriously brain toxic or something but he was coming back around. What ever happened to him. Is he back to normal?

He really was messed up bad. He probably will have physical problems all of his life from that.
