It depends what you said to her in the email. Maybe she got offended by it. If you didn't say anything offending then maybe she's having a bad birthday or is stressed. I woudn't think too much about her misspelling your name, it was probably on accident. I had a teacher 2 years in a row (she taught a class for one grade level and then another one for a different grade level) and she didn't spell my name right on any of those 2 years. Re-read the email she wrote, sometimes people say stuff that sounds rude but if they were to say it in person then it'd mean something good. Anyway, if you're sure that you never done anything to her, then I wouldn't take her email to the heart.

Just enjoy the rest of the day and relax! :)

What is not nice? Did you say something about her being old? You need to look at things clearly. As to the name thing, she has had many students and that is not a big deal really. The important thing is that she replied.

This is no reflection on you, but the sheer volume of students a teacher sees from semester to semester, year end and year out can get overwhelming to one's memory...she's not getting any younger, after all. Try not to take it personally. Had you seen her face to face I'm sure you would've instantly come to mind.

To err is human...

that`s why.this is just a human error.she might be replying a lot of her birthday emails and when typing ur name it would have been a mistake done.

maybe someone else forgot her birthday. just don't email back and see if she gets the hint. if not, find someone else.
