Yes but like Ethan L says make sure it is Coast Guard approved and made in America.
Didn't think about that much until Mattel's toy recall. Makes you realize you buy that Chinese stuff no telling what you are getting.
Good idea to test it in swallow water to see if it keeps you above water before going into deep water.
