I'd tell you exactly what Duke told you to do down below, but then... well, you know.

Using those exponents isn't always necessarily a good idea.

By inspection you can see that x = 1 is a solution and so x-1 is a factor. Now use long division to get (x^3-3x+2)/(x-1)
=(x^2+x-2) = (x+2)(x-1).
So x^3-3x+2 = (x-1)^2(x+2)

(x - 1)(x^2 + x - 2)

(x -1)(x + 2)(x - 1)
