starcaster by fender is a medium quality electric guitar good for begginers and its only 100 bucks

Good beginner guitars are Epiphone, Squier, Dean, and ESP all have good guitars to start off with as well as acoustic. Personally I would get an acoustic first, learn chords, than later move to the electric guitar

I don't know American prices, but Tanglewood make good guitars that are not expensive.
