Yes! I always take a teaspoon of vinegar to cure my hiccups, sometime I have to take 2, but it always works! It's great on bee/wasps stings, because the sting is alkali and the vinegar is acid so neutralises it. It's also really good for cleaning your car windscreen when it gets greasy.... cool huh?

VInegar may work on your hiccup by helping to alter the stimulation of the phrenic nerve. As a weak acis it is useful for many things. I have found that soaking in a tub of water with some vinegar added helps sooth the effects of mild sunburn and helps decrease blistering in moderate sunburn.

The greatest effect I get with vinegar is by adding honey from the local area to a cup of cider vinegar taken each morning will sometimes decrease the sensitivity to environmental allergens found in the area, as local pollens are used to make local honey. This should be done with some caution as some people are very allergic to some of the contents of honey and may have a reaction which requires medical attention.

We also use it to clean the floors, and can decrease to return of pets to areas soiled in carpets. It is good for stings, and does work well for cleaning coffee and tea kettles, and windscreens. I also use it to clean the accumulation from my hookah.

Note hiccup is technically a hiccough though is a misnomer as it is really no cough at all but air expressed during a spasm of the phrenic nerve. Many methods are used for this ie, water, breath holding, vinegar, and sugar under the tongue. All of these work by distracting one from the spasm as it resolves.

To prevent indigestion's, I hope you are talking about apple cider vinegar, raw and unfiltered. I use it to rinse my hair , in stead of conditioner . Fever goes down quick using it to masage feet and hands. And as i said, every time when i eat more than i suppose to, i drink a mixture with vinegar and water, and helps really good. And its good for hiccups too. We might have hiccups because ,the acidity in the stomach

you mean, "Have you ever drunk".

And no, I have not. but I'll take your word for it. I use vinegar and lemon to clean - it is a great abrasive.

PS - Hiccoughs are certainly NOT cause by stomach irritation. They are the result of the diaphragm reacting to a stimulus ( the oesophagus being obstructed or slowed by too much food) and it contracts pulling the muscles of the oesophagus down resulting in a "hiccough"

I was told that hiccoughs was caused by your stomach being irritated by something you have eaten. I find the best cure for me is a glass of water and holding my breath for a bit.
