IT'S refers to the emotional response of being stabbed by a rose thorn. The rose has an aggessive attitute, it will stick you if you touch it.
Does not refer to any specific thorn on the stem....
A thorn is wrong, in all senses. The correct GRAMMER would be every rose has thorns, or "many thorns."
