There is no set price. The salesman pays a price to Kirby and is instructed not to sell below a certain price but they are given the current Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price. Which by now must be well over $1600. you can negotiate several hundred dollars off. But this comes directly out of the salesman's commission. You would be much better off buying a Royal commercial from a janitorial supply for about $750-800.

My mom used to sell Kirby vacuums over 20 years ago, and even then they were near $1000 with all the attachments. I can't imagine they are less expensive these days.

My old Kenmore has been around for some time now . Just change the filter,s and bag before it get`s over full .
Like an old Timex . Takes a licking and keeps on ticking .

Mine cost $l,500.00 with a Rainbow trade in. I'm on my second Kirby in 30 years. It's worth it!!!
