my boyfriends truck always shakes a lot when he drives it. mainly on the front right wheel. he's bringing it in the shop today and i was wondering if the alignment would have to do with it always acting like that. he always has to pull over when he drives and i'm worried about his safety. thanks in advance.

Bad alignment woudn't make the car shake but it would make it unstable. Bad or unbalanced tires, bad rims, bad brakes (only when you apply the brakes) and/or bad U joint (if you have rear wheel or four wheel drive) could make the vehicle shake.
He needs to inspect the ball joints and the rods.

Good luck!

The alignment is one thing, and also having bad rotors doesn't help much either. Both will make the car shake- when he brakes does it shake? that could be the rotors. If it shakes just going down the road it could be the alignment and/ or tire pressure.

It could be the alignment. it could also be something as simple as loose lug nuts ot a bubble in the tire (depending on how bad it shakes).

Tell him to get it fixed, especially if he's always having to pull over. That ain't safe.

Probably not an alignment thing. Probably a worn tie rod end (cheap to fix), or a king pin or ball joint. But, after any of those items are replaced, it has to be aligned anyway.

Could be either a tie-rod end a wheel out of balance, or the allignment.
