Personally I love the name. I would have named my youngest daughter that except I worked at a daycare for a while and their were 4 Emily's that went their and this was not a very large daycare. 15-18 kid tops. So if you don't mind that a lot of other children have the same name go for it. Hope this helps.

Personally, it depends on the person named Emily to me. I mean Emily Osment- she's a good person to be named Emily. She's pure and sweet. But I know other Emily's that have trashed the name. I mean there's an Emily at my school that is just rude, mean and hangs with a bad crowd. I mean it's the same with Lindsay Lohan- love the name, don't like her.

Emily sounds sweet, like a little girl in pig tails that lives down the street. Sounds really nice.... pick the middle name carefully.

yes, LOVE IT!! it's my name : ) I'm guessing it's your name too because of your name on your profile thing. Even if it wasn't my name, I still love it because it sounds so pretty and I love the way it looks when it is written too. Someone once told me that when they think of Emily, they think of a sweet, pretty, little girl. It may be very popular nowadays, but I guess that's just because everyone LOVES the name!

I like the name emilee, but would never name my child it just because its become some popular. I want my kid to have a name that sets them apart, but not crazy of course

I personally don't like it. But it's a simple and common name that you can't go wrong with.
