I am unsure how to do these. If someone could set me in the right direction. xD

b) 239Np --> β- + 239Pu
c) 226Ra --> α + 222Rn
d) 235U + 1n --> 160Sm + 3*1n + 73Zn
e) 22Na --> β+ + 22Ne

2)
a)
I-(aq) + MnO4-(aq) --> I2(aq) + MnO2(aq)
Oxidation:
(2I- = I2 + 2e- ) x 3

Reduction:
( MnO4- + 2H2O + 3e- = MnO2 + 4OH- ) x 2

Global:
6I- + 2MnO4- + 4H2O = 3I2 + 2MnO2 + 8OH-

b)
IO3-(aq) + I-(aq) --> I-3(aq)
Can not balance:
Both semireactions are reductions:
Reduction:
IO3- --> I-3
I- --> I-3
Please check the I-3 ion (it is very rare)
