It is sad but true we are all lied to since we are children by our parents of all people but the lie they tell us is ok it involves xmas,I feel the worst lie is when it comes from someone you love and trust it hurts the most that they could do that to you,personally I detest liars you never get another chance to lie to me after the first one,Im with you all the way Harula on this one......................

Yes, I have been lied to, and I lied at times too. Though all of us hate liars, but white lies are those that doesn't hurt much. To me, white lies are lies that are there to prevent us from getting worried, just like what my parents did to me.

White lie
A white lie would cause no discord if it were uncovered and offers some benefit to the liar or the hearer, or both. As a concept, it is largely defined by local custom and can not be clearly separated from regular lies with any authority. As such the term may have differing meanings in different cultures. Lies which are harmless but told for no reason are generally not called white lies.

In western countries, a white lie is typically taken to mean an untruth with an alleged justification such as to avoid upsetting a person, to encourage a person or just for harmless convenience. An example of a white lie is a nurse who reassures a disfigured patient that he looks healthy, or an aged husband who assures his wife that she looks just as good as when he married her. This kind of white lie is, in many instances, known to be an untruth by all involved parties, but overlooked out of diplomatic tact or politeness. For example, when two people collide in a crowded hallway and one falls down, he might tell the other that he's not hurt, even if he's hurt a little bit.

Liars are one of the most awful things I can think of. I have been lied to, by many people. It is a terrible feeling.

I can't think of anyone who hasn't been lied to at least once. Some professions thrive on the ability to lie successfully. Pick a politician. Any politician.

Personally though, yes. Liars suck. In my book they rank right up there with people who gossip. Liars even lie about gossip. **sheesh**

Yep, and I have two broken marriages as a result of said lies. I see no reason for lies... I could understand if I were the kind of person to judge people for their lifestyle, or whatever, but I don't... and ironically this is why people lie to me... because they don't want to let me down, and they know they will because I believe in them no matter what they do. How does that justification work out in their heads? What part of "I will love you no matter what choices you make, just don't lie to me" do they turn into "If I tell her the truth, she'll be disappointed in me, so I better lie"? Hello! Did you hear what I said? Here's your sign... (not yours... theirs)lol

yes all the time do i call them out 9 out of 10 times no but then i know not to ever trust anything they say and the funny thing is its the people you dont thank would lie to you

More than once love. I hate to admit it but I'm pretty gullible. I tend to take people at their word. I've been burned more times that I like to admit. But I won't shut people out because of it. I've made 10 good friends to the one that lied to me and burned me. So it was worth it. I'll always take the chance.
