I am in the military also, and yes the child can stay with you in military housing. Just make sure you go to your PAC/ID Card office on post and enroll both your wife and her child in your DEERS. This will get her and the child a dependent ID card which will allow them access to the the post itself, the commissary, the PX, and also Tricare, so they will have 100% health insurance at no cost to you. The only thing you will pay will be a deductible here and there depending on the procedure, and $26 a month for Tricare Dental. Again, ensure they are both enrolled in DEERS, and they will have all the benefits they are entitled to, including living in military housing and attending the schools on post if your post has any. Yes her child can live in military housing with his/her mother.

yeah..especially if the child is still a child.. and she is legally responsible for him/her.. not really sure about adult children.. look into it.. you may even be able to get the child the medical care that the service provides.. the military dependent ID
