I recently bought a computer and it is being shipped to me in Boston via FedEx. It left the Dell Warehouse in North Carolina on Friday, and that is the last place it says it has been for the last two days. Does FedEx just not update their systems often, because I know UPS has tracking updates everyday.

Thanks a lot! It says it should be here on Tuesday.
And I'm not staring at it... I was just wondering why it hasn't been updated in 2 days.

from what I've seen, FedEx locations are event driven rather than time driven and run on the departure side, not on arrivals.

your likely next event will be when it leaves the FedEx delivery location in your area Monday morning.

It likely arrived in Boston area somewhen Saturday, but there is no delivery on Sunday unless extra was paid, so the next delivery day is Monday.

:)

It is updated every time the package goes through a "scanning" point. If it was sent FedEx Ground, it can take up to 5 business days to get to your destination. Saturday and Sunday and Holidays don't count as business days.

As often as it matters. Just like USPS , UPS, from experience, they update it enough for me to know when I need to (unless you stare at it every minute)
