Betty, Thanks for the memories. What would recess have been without hop-scotch & jump rope & jacks. I don't know what the boys where doing but this was a girl thing.
When, hop-scotch, jump rope,jack's, marbles, & paper dolls from Sears Roebuck catalog & one doll where the only toys known to me as a little country girl, We had fun and used our imagination. We where rich. An empty match box was a car. The road was made by dragging a garden hoe in the sand. Paper dolls sat in the match box car. Oh !! the bottle caps we collected. Running & sliding in the wet mud clay was so much fun, when it rained, if Mother would allow it.Great fun !!!~~Jill
