What does it matter. She's gone now. She certainly was not ROYALTY material because she didn't do the royal family any favours with her childish behaviour. They all cheat. They just handle it behind closed doors not go crying poor me in public.

Hello,
Princess Di - saint or sinner?
No! neither, just an ordinary vulnerable human being hounded to death by a rabid media. And a hysterical voyeuristic public obsessed with the cult of celebrity.

A woman...That makes her neither saint nor sinner.
I do believe she did her best to fulfill all the roles that were placed before her...a wife, a mother, a daughter-in-law, a princess, a refuge etc.
My point is that in the complex web she was in, she did do her best, which is more than all the people who like to find fault with her, would have managed.
Most women have a story...of intrigue, grief & adventure.
Hers was publicised...daily.
It killed her ultimately.
I agree with Barbie...
May she rest in peace....at least now.

She was a human being who made some bad choices, but who also touched a lot of people. Now she's dead so questions like this are not relevant to what she was. Just a normal person in extraordinary circumstances. She never affected my life or anyone around me, except to give us something to gossip about after seeing her on TV.

She thought that she could use her marriage to Prince Charles to her own advantage. She knew exactly what she was marrying into. You don't marry Royalty without a great deal of tuition and guidance from the aides. She chose to ignore that advice. She thought she was better than Royalty. She paid the price. Some might even say she got what she deserved. I believe that if Princess Di had survived, she would have caused major headaches for our Royal Family. She could not be allowed to do that. In past ages, she would have been executed as a traitor. I certainly do not idolise her. I am a fervent Royalist and I always will be. Charles will make a great King. With Camilla by his side. Yes, Charles may have been wrong to marry Di when he was clearly still in love with Camilla. But there was only one other woman in his life. How many men were in Di's life? She was a trollop. At the time of her death, something disastrous for the Royal Family was going to come out. She had to be stopped. A lesson learnt for all would-be traitors of the Royal Family: Don't mess with what you don't truly understand. I mean, what would the Saudi Royal Family have done if she had done the same to them?
Thanks for reading.

She was a human being under a microscope. Let's see how many people could do better under such scrutiny. No one has a right to judge her life decisions/choices. My advice is for people to judge their own lives and stop living vicariously through others.

While she certainly had her flaws, she used her fame to help many charities, among them, she brought to light the dangers left behind by land mines. Her sons have loving memories of her.
Like many people, there were actually three people in her marriage. Unfortunately, that drama unfolded for the entire world to see and speculate upon.
I have to place her in the saint category.

She is deceased. Speculation of whether she was a saint or sinner is like trying to decide whether there was a second shooter on the grassy knoll.

There's no need to judge her.
While she lived she could have easily just enjoyed her wealth and not done the work she did for charities, surely that shows the good nature she had?
