I would say humbleness... I can always find something more important in this world that is bigger than I am... a need to assist with a successfulness that pertains to something other than myself.

I guess that keeps me pretty well grounded, just knowing that life is what it is, and whatever efforts I can do to make it better, I should do them.

I don't NEED for glamour, I see the unglamourous and see if I can help it be more peaceful, and that keeps me centered.

The wife, the kids, the dogs, the cat. We've got a cat who comes into the computer room and tells me that it's time to go to bed. If that doesn't do it, I've got students who are more than happy to remind me that I can be wrong. If all of that fails and GOD chooses not to intervene, there's always gravity!

Hi Moon..
Grounded as locked in my bedroom and not allowed to hang out with friends? That should have been my parents then..
;-p

But, looking at the other answers, I'm not sure if that's what you mean. So, I think it's humility before God and all that God has created, from virus to the universe.

Take care

well there's the obvious... God

then of course my family and friends - who don't let me get away with ANYTHING! :(

but I could not ever do without my humour. I see humour in almost everything. The pesky squirrels who eat all the birdseed are really annoying, but watching them run around and around the tops of the trees circling our yard is just priceless.... and so simple and innocent. Who could not see the humour in that with all the real crap that's going on in the world....

My faith in God keeps me very grounded. Also, past experiences, which comes a sense of wisdom. And also the love of my life. She tends to keep me grounded in a more benevolent and loving manner.
