Thoughts of the End of The World?

Just tell me what you think. Best answer will be the one closest to my own.

Some day it will happen...if people are really stupid enough to unleash nuclear arms on one another...and destroy and make inhabitable any parts of the earth...well it's only one planet, we won't escape the aftermath of radiation and poisoning of our planet...so let's hope that no one is THAT stupid to ever try such a thing (notice however that someone actually WAS that stupid).

That said...I think it will end with asteroids hitting the planet...it's only a matter of time and there are some heading this way in the future...whether they actually hit us or not who knows...and if the bible and God is real then it's quite possibly this will be the how it truly ends.

What I do NOT believe is that anyone can fortell the WHEN however.

If people live in ignorance and denial and think that global warming is something politicians invented so people can continue on with having another subject to whine or debate about, then I think everyone is going to be majorly sorry as people will die of horrible cancerous deaths and we are already intaking foods laden with terrible chemicals that we have poisoned the planets with. Our children and their children will pay this price and if we live long enough to see it then I hope our kids will be wise enough to fix what we, who should have known better, failed to fix.

It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.

Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).

The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.

Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.

Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

We will slide into one of the two radiation belts Van Ryan or Van Allin and toast to death in the next two years. OR

The polar caps will reverse themselves as they have done before, flipping everything from one end to the other, continents sliding into each other, splitting apart and plowing up molten lava from the depths of the sea boiling the water til neither fish, nor mammal can live, not even the smallest cell. Darkness will fill the Sky for about 10,000 years, and every living creature on Earth will die....the end.

It will probably happen in a very uninspiring way. It will simply be Thursday, you'll be eating pie with an aunt you haven't seen for awhile. There will be a quick flash in the sky, or perhaps the wind will blow a strange scent in the air, and humanity will just cease.

I believe we are in the beginning of the End Times. When the islands all disappear, mankind can start to worry. The Bible says, "Be not afraid--these are just the growing pains of the world".

I believe that the end of the world will come when one country sets off their nulear weapons, and the rest of the world will do the same and then everyone and everything will die due to radiation.

I hope mankind survives the death of our sun (its possible) because about 4 billion years from now or galaxy and the Andromeda galaxy are going to "collide." They will mostly just pass through each other, and it will take thousands of years to happen, but I hope that's the way we go out.
