First find out what causes headache. Is it stress? allergy, sinusitis, tiredness, hunger, lack of sleep, neck pain? Treating the cause will help than just any pill. For stress, try to breath and relax. Yoga will be good. Sinus? stay away from allergens, do nasal washes with a mixture of 50% sea salt and 50% spring or destilled water. You could also use accupressure with mag-dots (they sell them at rite-aid) press the dots where you feel the pain and let it there for few hours. It will let the pain go away. Take care.

I use to get severe headaches, about every weekend, about ten years ago. Then I saw a show (maybe it was a segment on the news) about caffeine withdrawal. It seems I was drinking three or four cups of coffee at work every day. But on the weekend, I usually didn't bother to brew some, and by Saturday afternoon or Sunday, a headache would knock me into bed--it was that bad.
After seeing that show, I cut back to two cups--seven days a week. Then about a year later I went down to one cup--seven days a week. And now I drink no coffee.
But as soon as I leveled off my caffeine intake, I didn't have those withdrawal headaches anymore

Do you have an up and down caffeine consumption habit? Then leveling it off may help you.

If it's migraine, try holding your hands and wrists into warm water for 10 minutes.
