A classic remake is "All Along The Watchtower",origially done by Bob Dylan and awesomely remade by Jimi Hendrix. A more recent one is "Watching You", first made by The Police, and then done again by Sean "Puffy" Combs, aka P. Diddy, aka Diddy.

There are quite a few, but I like:
Jimi Hendrix's version of "All Along the Watchtower" by Bob Dylan, and Alice in Chains' remake of "Dancing Days" by Led Zeppelin.

I Am The Walrus- Styx (The Beatls original).
It's amazing. Not better than the first, but it sounds like a completely different awesome rock song. Listen to it. It's the ****!!!
