Hey everyone! I've got a quick question for you. Which wireless router should I get, a G or N? I know the N is better (and faster), but is it worth the $30 more than the $69 G? My main use for this is for gaming. I will have it hardwired to my 360 and wireless to my laptop. Thank you in advance for your help!

Well, wireless N is still in development, like a beta. If it were up to me, i would get Wireless G. It should be fine. If you decide to take your 360 wireless, you should probable get Wireless N.

I would honestly stick with the G cuz the N is faster but thats only speed that info can travel on ur network. The internet still is only gonna go as fast as u have (DSL, Cable). I use G wirelessly with my 360 and works great.

I have a Linksys wireless G. Model WRT54G. Its speed is 54Mbps, which is faster than most cable modems can operate. Its all you need and usually can be bought at most office stores for $50.

N.
Why?
RANGE.

You get double the range on an N router vs. a G.

It's not the speed.

N is backwards compatible. You may soon need to upgrade to N, so getting it ahead of time, can save time and trouble.
