I'm about 30 miles south of Lake Erie, less than a mile from the Black River, and I have a 1/3 acre pond behind my house.

No the closest body of water around here is called Lake Darling, and the closest river (and I'm not kidding) is the Skunk River.
I would love to live next to the ocean, any ocean on any coast, well ok not the north or south extremes but any US coast would do.

Yes the White River runs all through the town I live in. The river was used years ago by Indians and Trappers for travel and trade. Now there are lots of river walk ways and parks on the river here. Its nice. Thanks for asking.

Various lakes and rivers but last week my grass was brown and crunchy but after the last couple of days I fear they may have to rename the town Atlantis. I think we've gotten all the rain for the year in a couple of days. Good thing it's not snow yet. I'd be buried.
