PCI bus is SLOW for 3D graphics acceleration (games). PCI bus will just slow down/bottleneck any good GPU that you put in there. There is NO PCI to PCIe adapter.

The best and only good PCI card out there is the Visiontek x1550 PCI 256mb Video card. It has full 3.0 shader support and support some good games out there. It can run Battlefield 2 with everything on medium with no lag! Trust me. If it can run Battlefield 2 like that, than it can run Flight Simulator X on medium setting too. I have the card and its awesome! But Im gonna buy a new PC soon. Good luck though and have fun!

What driver are you using with the card? It should be able to run most games.

Check that page and also see what version of directx you have installed.
