factor out 2
2 (7x^2 - 10x + 3)

find two numbers that multiply to 21 and add to -10

the two numbers are -3 and -7. Replace the middle term

2 [ 7x^2 - 7x - 3x + 3 ]

factor by groups
2 [ (7x^2 - 7x) - (3x - 3) ]

factor out GCF
2 [7x (x - 1) - 3(x - 1) ]

factor out x - 1

2 (x - 1) (7x - 3)
