Charleston. a) not as hot, b) very up-and-coming, c) much more beaufitul than Tampa, and d) just as much water.

Charleston is a great city. Has a small town feel with benefits of a large city. Also good beaches nearby and an exellent Medical school so there is great medical care. There is also the College of Charleston and a technical schoold. It also depends on what you do for a living. There is really no industry here. Lots of professional jobs.

haven't been to either BUT I had a good friend move to the tampa area and within weeks, he HATED it! I've read that charleston is a really neat place to live and I'd love to visit. OR you can choose nashville, TN where I DID move 6 years ago from Las Vegas and I think it's a fabulous town!!! good luck to you whatever you choose!
