I mean in every single conversation, love must be mentioned...
Almost every song is about love.
Almost every movie has love as one of its main plots.
Most people's LIVES revolve around love and it's always "We broke up so I guess it wasn't love" or "Omg I think I'm in love." and so on and so on.
I don't understand it. I don't see anything in love besides 2 people needing to feel wanted when it comes to couples *nature's trick to human reproduction*, in family it's nothing but a sense of obligation, and in friends it's nothing but survival in numbers and to dim the sense of loneliness all human beings are supposed to feel.
So why is the world obsessing over this not-so-fascinating concept?

Maybe it because there are many things that imitate love, but really aren't. Maybe there are many things that people think is love, but it isn't!
True love is a concept that is frequently discussed but rarely observed in real life. I think that true, self sacrificing love is a wonderful thing! The problem is that there are too many other things mistaken for love (lust, oligation like you mentioned, and similar feelings) that it gets to the point that the notion of love becomes diluted.
Hopefully this doesn't just sound like someone rambling on! I guess it's just me trying to figure it all out myself.

I honestly think since its becoming less frowned upon,(sex before marriage) that people are i guess what you say binging on it. When you get to the club and looking for a good time, you catch a good beat, and you don't care about what the lyrics are as long as you have a good time. Also those songs are usually produced to be catchy no matter how strange the lyrics are cough cough lady gaga cough cough. There are still some musicians whose lyrics are not sexually obsessed. Mostly these artists haven't gotten hit by what to sell, but are in it because they enjoy it. I would recommend Michael Buble, Lights and Taylor swift as a few examples. :) Hope that Made you feel a little better about the world

Because love it's the only "thing" that matters in life, we come to this world to love and be loved...it's not just about love among couples, it's love in every sense: family love, friends love, love in what you do everyday, it's the only way to achieve happiness!!! you cannot possibily be happy if you dont love, and I repeat, it's not just about couples' love, it's just everything else too...
it's hard to explain, but I know you dont mean that, if you do, then I'm convinced you are not happy at all, because what else do you have??? really, what do you have in your life that makes you really HAPPY, and do not include love?? (or at least that's what you believe)

Well, for 1 thing it was a major theme of the teaching's of Jesus. A recent study (supposedly) determined that true love does exist but is extremely rare.

Love isnt real and yet people search for it because they have seen way too many movies. Only lust is real we just call it love when we really want each other for sex

well not everyone feels this way and many ppl love love, and i for one do. i dont like the pain in relationships and the hardships, but everyone has problems. plus i dont kno anyone who wants to die alone.
