In the rules of chivalry, number three reads as follows:

"Thou shalt respect all weaknesses and shalt constitute thyself the defender of them."

What does this mean?

I think it pertains more to defending the helpless (ie, women, children, crippled, basically anyone/anything that would have been considered weak or helpless back when the code was in use).

Nothing anymore. So many of these kids that are being brought up now days don't have fathers that open up the door for their wife or aren't ever around anyway. The mother also has to be the father in the family. This is why chivalry is dying not because men are dawgs it is because the young men growing up do not have a positive influence in life.
