who wasn't worth it?!

I wasted over 3 years in a realtionship with a truck driver. We were engaged, and it wasn't even so much that he was gone a lot that bothered me. It was that he was irresponsible and a liar. He "blew" what money he was making on the road, then when it came payday, he didn't have a check a lot of the times. When he WAS home, he didn't DO anything. When he had time to spend with me, he just kept waiting and longing for going back on the road. He had a "sexual problem" so THAT wasn't even good. I finally woke up and realized no matter what I did or tried he would NEVER change OR come off the road, so I ended it.

Well,I'm a school psychiatrist so I feel that way at least 50% the time. But I have no way of knowing if I really am wasting my time, only if I'm getting fast results or not. So the negative assumption is probably usually false. As for other people, yeah, friendships that never really came to anything, early girfriends who just wanted material things from me,etc.

I guess in a way yes! How's 20 years for ya? lol I cannot say it wasn't totally worth it because he gave me two wonderful, beautiful, smart, caring kids whom I love and adore with all my heart and soul! I just think he & I have grown apart over the years. I still love him, but I'm just not sure that I'm "in love" with him anymore! He hurt me very deeply recently and I don't really know where things are going right now, but it doesn't look good for us! It is a sad situation that it will probably end like this after so many good years together...but I have plenty of good years left in me, so I still have very high hopes for the future! I WILL be happy again...someday!

Can't say that i have done that. I've gotten to know people from here. Some more then others and have put lots of time and effort and soul into it. At one point I thought I had found someone I would of liked to spend lots and lots of time with. But it wasn't to be.

Yes.... unfortunately I did for so long...

I spent the last 8 1/2 years of my life with somebody who finally confessed was not looking for a life partner...

...I got out of the relationship, found real love and I have never been happier...Thank you my love!

Maybe it is true that everything happens for a reason.

I haven't...because i don't think that you can waste your time on someone...yes, they might not return your same affection, but it wasn't a waste...you have no idea what could happen in the future because of the affect you had on that person...

Believe me, Time is never "wasted". Even when we feel it is wasted, if we look closely to what is going on, we can see the lessons we can get from that "wasted" time dimension.... Focus and be conscious is the word.

For a certain moment and in certain circumstances of our life, we think that the person we are with is the ideal..Then..we discover the opposite when the enthousiasm passes and when the disagreements begin...
I never regretted for some things happened to me...I take them as a lesson, in order to continue my life, and to be better in the future...

I think in our lives we run across people who really did not care
Whether we wasted our time on them no matter how much we care
The more I look at it I would not say they were not worth it
For if I believed like them, it is like I quit.
