Please Like this. My car makes a door bell noise when the headlights are left on. The car is a 1996 ford X pick up truck with a 4 Cly engine auto matic trans with a million miles. Does any one know where the door bell like signal is coming from? Or is that when I leave my key in the ignition?

There is a box near the front door at the top of a wall. When someone pushes the button, it causes it to ring. It is usually two chimes, and a hammer that goes one way to hit one, then the other way to hit the other. It is usually powered by a small transformer near your furnace or could be powered differently, all kinds of options. Hope this helps!

There must be a bell unit someplace interior the homestead, in all probability linked to the frenzy button by ability of radio waves (as mine is). because of the fact the noise seems to return from everywhere the unit must be placed centrally interior the homestead.

doorbell noise?
If I had that in my car, I would definately talk to a mechanic, or my insurance agent. Because I probably just hit a house if I had it in my car.

Rather then like a doorbell sound. Is it more like a dink, ding sound. If it is you key is more then likely in the ignition with it in the on position. You have you door open/not closed right.
