Help that will enable someone to continue their self-destruction. An example would be a drug addict who gets money from family and/or friends; an alcoholic who is given more alcohol, or allowed access to it in a home; enabling someone to continue the hurt themselves, even though one may think they are doing right by that person, they really are not. That is why, during an intervention, the person is given the ultimatum to get help or all ties will be severed.
