Ball Pythons usually grow to about 5 ft and usually... *usually*...have a pretty good temperment. Why don't you get another... Why did u get rid of the 1st one? I'm not being judgemental or anything, but was there a reason you got rid of the 1st, like problems feeding or something? You just may wanna read up on them for solutions before you get another... All the other pythons I have ever hear of get bigger and some are known for some pretty nasty dispositions.

Ball Pythons are a good choice, they only reach a length of about 5 ft and a weight of about 5 pounds. They are sturdy snakes who will tolerate a lot of handling. They are generally even tempered with beautiful markings.

You won't find a better snake than a Ball Python.

pythons understand only two things...feed and breed. you dont feed it or make a mistake its dinner time for your kids, your dog, whatever. a firefighter locally with 18 years snake background got killed handling one. the snake doesnt understand or care about the emotion you feed into it. i hope for your sake you end up on the right side of the fangs but i know of no good one to have period.
