Ok bought a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2 months ago. Had vibration in steering wheel. Replaced the two front tires( back ones were new). That helped. But still have a slight vibration in steering wheel. Took to repair shop everything ok. Could it be there tires? They are Good year wrangles. I have heard bad things about Good Year. Any suggestions? Also took back to tire shop to make sure they were balanced correctly.

could be a number of things that cause vibration in the steering wheel. Sounds as though you have eliminated the front tires being a reason. (Other than alignment)
What about wheel bearings, or u-joints in your drive shaft. Or how about motor mounts.

Many things could cause wheel vibration: wheel alignment, tires improperly balanced, bent rim, worn shocks, worn tires, upper ball joints, lower ball joints, inner tie rod, outer tie rod, steering knuckle, etc... Good Year happens to be one of the better tire companies out there. I had Good Year Wranglers on my pick-up truck and they were the best part of the truck. Take your car to a qualified mechanic and have them check the alignment, steering, and suspension. Good luck.

If it is a vibration around 45-55, it is the tire balance. Take it back to the tire shop and tell them to put weights on both sides of the rims.

You try to talk like you know what the problem is but yet you are asking others. Stop putting up a front.....
The culprit is the wheel bearings, the style of the rim, the rotors, the driveshaft, or the tire pressure.

if the wheels were balanced correctly then the only thing i would suggest is to get the steering aligned

the tires need to be aligned because something might of caused your wheel to go uneven. that happens alot if you go on dirt roads and dont avoid the pits

check the air pressure. one tire is more then likely lower then the other causing it to vibrate. you should always check your tire pressure at least once a month and more in the winter.

ask the mechanic to lift the car and spin the wheels
checking for tire's bump and/or damage wheel bearings

Check the alignment on all four tires.
