I'm going to be a junior in high school and I have overcome some obstacles in life that I believe some people would have given up on. I would really like to become a motivational speaker because I think that I could really reach kids because I am close their age. How would I go about becoming a motivational speaker now?

The heart is the motivation and the intuition leads you and the heart in the moment. If you could work with a youth club and work out with them an outline to practice. Check with different groups to get an overview of what they could us. Maybe you could speak to a class at your school. You might work part time or voluteer and test you charisma, appeal in actual practice. Take a break and watch this video. It will give you an idea what kids and we all are up against today. You want to reach the mind and the heart. I think this info will help. Let me know what you think.

You need to wait. You haven't experienced life enough to be accepted as a motivational speaker.

I tend to believe that whatever obstacles you have overcome may pale somewhat when compared to the problems that people have suffered through a lifetime of disappointment and heartache.

You haven't even taken your first step into the real world yet. You have only begun your life's journey. It is not time for you to look back and contemplate a short path that has only a few winding roads and only a few potholes.

I suggest that you focus your attention on becoming the best human being you can and prove by example that you can overcome the difficulties that you have already encountered.

Your inspirational words will carry more weight when you have overcome your problems by becoming a success and an inspiration in the real, everyday world.

I don't mean to denigrate your response to your problems. In fact, you are on the right track. You understand at an early age that the best way to come back from adversity is with a new resolve and a greater determination. Some people take a lifetime to learn this basic lesson.
