okay too confusing? lemme put it in 2nd person. you have a grandma and she has a brother. her brother has a daughter and your grandma's brother's daughter has a daughter.

Second cousin. Your mom/dad is cousins with the grandma's brother's kids; so the kids of the cousins are second cousins. Your guys' kids will be third cousins, etc...

I believe that makes the daughter, my mothers cousin. The daughter's daughter in my mother's second cousin.
That makes the girl in question my second cousin "once removed", because I am the daughter of the girl's second cousin.

Yeah the girl that is dragging out all our family skeletons out of the closest figured it out one time. She came up with 4th and 5th cousins and 3rd cousins once removed.

Yes, because your granma's brother's daughter and your mother/father would be cousins, so you are cousins to her daughter too.
Your granmas brother would be your great uncle and any of his kids or grandkids would be your cousins, like, twice removed or something.
