Let me guess (not really, but it sounds good...) you have a BIG new TV in the living room. Even when the TV's not on, it IS on. Try unplugging the TV from the wall, then see if the clock and/or wireless router work in there...if YES, you know the answer. If you live in a rental, and YOU don't have that big-a** TV but your neighbor does, THAT may be the problem, although that interference diminishes exponentially over distance.

Do you mean electro magnetic frequencies?
If you do you do you can try to figure out what is creating them (anything electrical, mobile masts, one of those plug in pest deterrents) you can hire or buy and emf meter. But from your description of the router not working it sounds more like your room is blocking emf like a Faraday cage, do you have a mirrored wall or similar? Mirror and metals can block some frequencies

You have too much equipment in the room which is creating an electromagnetic field. Your health and the health of your family will suffer. These fields can pass through brickwork and cause headaches and numerous other health problems. You could contact your local Environmental Health Department to see if they have the equipment to test the room for you.

Some buildings in the fifties were built of concrete. The inside walls were covered in galvanized steel mesh , and then skimmed directly on the mesh. This type of construction prevents the entry of radio waves because of the Farady Cage effect.
