Most states it's 30 days. Calif. is 21 days. Other states have between 15 and 45 days. Check out your local laws.

Did you have a walk thru with the landlord? Has the landlord provided a written list of damages?

The legal requirement will vary from location to location. There should be a local housing authority that might help you, look in the phone book under city and county housing. Also look at your lease to see if there are requirements listed there.pp

They are suppose to return it in two weeks. That said they could be taking some of it for repairs or paint in which case is their excuse for taking their time or you not receiving it at all. Everyone check your rental agreements or lease agreements as it also state it on there.
