congratz on the sobriety!! One day at a time!

Congratulations! You deserve a lot of credit. I stopped smoking many years ago and have never regretted it. It is tough to give up an addiction.

The thing that most changed my life was accepting the fact that my religious doubts were right for me. I have always doubted the existence of a god since I was 11. My life got better when I finally said, "I'm an atheist." Gone were the guilt feelings I carried all my life and I am a stronger, better person today.

I quit smoking 7 1/2 months ago after 12 years =] But really just finally learning that I don't have to do what everyone else thinks I should do. Live for your self and do what makes you happy.

Congratulations!!!! That's wonderful.

Getting a divorce & losing 130 lbs. has made me a better person & a much happier person. I'm healthier & I am able to smile & have an optimistic attitude once again. Losing all that weight gave me a great self image & gave me back my self confidence & feelings of self worth, which gave me the strength to get my divorce & move on to a much happier life.

Hey, Congrats!!

I have become a better listener to people who bore me, and I am constantly striving to be less judgmental of people when I think I'm right.

On this website, even if someone seems blatantly wrong: asking, "why can't I molest my kids?", I try to give them a compassionate answer they might understand & relate to, without being offended.

Good for you! I volunteer every chance I get. I donated a computer, monitor, printer, etc., yesterday to the Salvation Army Family Store. I asked them if they could donate the computer system to a child whose family could not afford one. They had a wish list from families in this city. Best wishes!

I know this sounds pretty lame, but I have learned NOT to sweat the small stuff. I am more at peace with myself. I also have more tolerance of people who are of a different race/religion than me.

It's so much easier to be kind than to be mean.

I started answering questions in Yahoo!Answers.

Normally, I would study but not act. Now when someone says something is biblical and its not, I point it out with references.

It is a better way of studying.
