When I was a kid, we ate dinner every single night of the week together. My mother demanded it. There was no fooling around, no wasting, no playing. If you made her mad, she'd knock you off that chair and send you to bed with no supper. She cooked roasts, potatoes, veggies, chicken, or some other full dinner every night of my life. I left home at 20. Mom is now 87 years old. I wish I was near her so I could cook for her like that.

All the time when growing up. Even now when we come together at our parents house. No one eats till everyone at the table and dad or the oldest male there prays. And I can say that none of my sisters or brothers are on drugs, drink or smoke. I works. I will do it with my children someday.

when i was a kid we did almost every night. sometimes we'd eat in the living room if we all wanted to watch the same thing. now, my bf and our daughter eat together either at the kitchen table or living room table. just depends on the atmosphere. if we cook a meal, we usually eat in the kitchen, if we got something out of convenience, we eat in the living room.
