More criminals, yes.
On the other hand, toys aren't made out of lead any more, your mom doesn't put "mercuro-chrome" on your wounds, and homes don't have asbestos shingle siding any more. Let's not even get started on tetra-ethyl lead in gasoline.

I am 71 years old and say that, without a doubt, our society is more fragmented, disjointed and violence prone than during my youthful years. The relatively homogeneous and stable make-up of society has been fractured. In saying this, I make no moral judgments.

They certainly are. That is very obvious, just watch the news and read the paper. It is so dangerous for kids to even play outside in so many areas, you never know who may come along.

yes i think they are they is poisioning in toys now and in food pet food etc. also there are a lot more gangs i kno my friend has more than 50 friends in gangs and they are only 13 - 15 years old and she knows at least 100 people who are on drugs

no. it is only just that when we were young we were made to believe in a "better world". as we grow old, this level of abstraction decreases. we now discover things that we have been prevented to see.
