My girlfriend took the morning after day pill 3 days after unprotected intercourse, and then had her period 2 weeks later. Does that mean the pills worked?

and the "period" lasted about 3-5 days

Could have been her period, or could have been implantation bleeding from early pregnancy. A lot of women see bleeding and assume it is a period, but that's not always the case, esp. if they could be pregnant or if they have taken a high dose of hormones (like you find in the abortion pills).
The only way to know is to take a pregnancy test.
Oh, and try abstinence from now on. If you're a real man, you can control your hormones. Abortion pills are not birth control. It's possible she might have gotten pregnant and killed the baby with the pill.

if she waited three days to take the morning after pill there's a chance that the period wasn't a period but implantation bleeding. so, there's quite a bit of chance that she's pregnant. to be truly sure, go to the doc and have her take a blood test....and next time, well, i'm sure that you know what i would say....

No one on here is psychic. So im not sure what type of anwser you are looking for. Most likely it worked. I personally disagree in the morning after pill, if you can have sex, you can have a baby. Period.

yes they can be taken up to 72 hours after unprotected intercourse but as for it working noone is gonna know but her but usually if she is bleeding after taking it then yes they probably worked

Hey Veritas!.. If she took the day after pill its not abortion cause it takes about 5-6 DAYS for the sperm to fertalize the egg, so it wasen't a baby!!! So don't try to make him feel like he just killed someone cause he didn't.

Yup! If she was pregnant she wouldnt of gotten her period so yes it did work.
