I am a 17 year old girl and currently a senior of the 2007-2008 school year. Next year I wish to go to college and pursue a job in Journalism but I have no money. I applied for a scholarship (I'm in the final 10 finalists!) and I need votes so if you could please read my essay and possibly vote for it or encourage others to then it would be VERY appreciated. I think her essay is fine! You all she is 17, it's not like she has a degree in anything yet or any formal training. I think the fact that she wants to help her family and get herself a college degree is wonderful! Lord knows more than a few of the people on here would benefit from one. Please help her if you can and have the time I did. They do not send you a bunch of e-mails or anything. They do not try to get you to buy stuff, so please help her out. I think her essay sounds sweet and it seems to come from her heart. So please help her some it will only take like 5 minutes of your time.

Sweetie, did you get anyone to review your essay before you entered it? Can you still make some changes in it? Ask your English teacher to help with the changes that need correcting. The last paragraph should have come earlier in your essay because it's a wonderful piece of insight into who and what you are. This is something that is very important to the rest of your life (college education). Enlist all the help and resources that you need!
