If you mentioned your age and the genre of games you liked, this would be a much easier question to answer, but I'll still list a few. I'll also include what rating they are, in case you are under 17 and can't purchase "M" rated games. I basically play two genres, action and RPG.

My fave action games:
God of War (M rated)
God of War 2 (M)
Devil May Cry 3 (M)
Shadow of the Colossus (T)
ICO (T rated, more of an adventure/puzzle game)
Resident Evil 4 (More of a horror/shooter, M rated)

My fave RPGs:
Final Fantasy 10 (T)
Dragon Quest 8 (T)
Final Fantasy 12 (T)
Dark Cloud 2 (T)

I play the occasional shooter, and the whole Medal of Honor series is great. I think they are rated T, but they may be M.

All Guitar Hero games, both God of War games, Resident Evil 4, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas & Vice City (adult language, extreme violence), Metal Gear Solid 2, Burnout 3 & Burnout Revenge, Virtua Fighter 4, Gran Turismo 3 & 4, Twisted Metal Black (mature content, weird themes), Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, Rachet & Clank: Going Commando, Jak & Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2, Ace Combat 4, Kingdom Hearts 1& 2, Amplitude, Katamari Damacy, Psychonauts, 007: Everything or Nothing, Indigo Prophecy, Wipeout Fusion to name some of the best ones, in my opinion.

I don't like sports games much at all (unless playing with friends), hence the absence thereof.

That depends on what you're into and how old you are....

GTA is always a good game, but you have to be of age to buy it and I think even rent it.
Destry All Humans 2 is cute as well...
Spiderman 3 game is kinda cool.
If you like the superhero type games may I suggest Ultimate Alliance... I always play as Wolverine and kick @ss!!! lol

If you like driving, may I suggest something like Need For Speed Carbon or FlatOut (any of 'em).... You can have fun with FlatOut just killin your guy lol..... ATV games... they're fun at times too.

I know a lot of people enjoy the Harry Potter games, I wouldn't know, I have never played them and don't intend to.

Lets see... I recommend getting Tales of the Abyss. It's a pretty fun game. I also recommend tales of Legendia. They're kinda old, from about 2005 or something, but they're still pretty good, according to my brother.
