No, of course not.
People susceptible to manipulation might think that they do, but it is utter nonsense no more genuine than astrology.
Involvement in these things can be dangerous because you risk being influenced by some pretty clever people - so it is best to steer clear but not for such ridiculous notions as 'accidentally opening the gates of hell'.

I've used a Ouija board on occasion ever since I was a kid, and I, nor has anyone else I know that has used it as well, have never had a bad experience because of it.
I believe that they are just a game, and there's nothing supernatural about them. To me, they're a piece of wood with writing on it. What is supernatural about that? If there's anything supernatural at all, I think it would have to do with the person using the board, not the board itself.
But.....I live in a house that has had paranormal activity before (long before a Ouija board was brought into it), and one day, for fun, my mom and I asked it a few questions about the "ghost" that resides here. Of course, most of the stuff answers we got could not be proven one way or the other. But one of the questions we asked was where this person was buried, and it told us it was in an old abandoned graveyard about a mile into the woods across the street from another, well known graveyard. I, nor my mom, had never heard of the place in the woods and didn't think much of it at the time, but then a few months later I was at school and the teacher was telling some local ghost stories, and he decided to take the class on a little trip to where one of the people was buried. It turns out this person was buried in an abandoned graveyard in the exact location the Ouija board said our "ghost's" body was buried at (I had never heard of the story or the graveyard prior to that day, apart from the Ouija board, and neither had my mom). Unfortunately I didn't get to go on the trip, so I don't know if there was in fact a tombstone w/my "ghosts" name on it, but that one incident is the only hard to explain one I've had in all my years using a Ouija board.

Ouija boards(which are simply a manmade board game) have sometimes been reported as a successful conduit for communication with something that is non-human.
The problem is the many negative experiences that have been reported. It's sort of like having an 'open house' party at your abode, and people come in that you really wish didn't.With the Ouija, these negative entities tend to stay.
I've never worked a Ouija board and don't plan to. It's not a religious taboo for me(I left Christianity years ago), it's simply respecting the troubling anecdotal reports over the past hundred years or so.

They do work, if by work you mean entertain their users. Ouija boards are games. They do not contact spirits of the dead. They do not open gateways to hell, or anywhere else. They operate by way of a principle called the ideomotor effect.
Play with it. Have fun. The only people who suffer from the use of a Ouija board are the superstitious and the feeble minded.

Lots of anecdotal evidence suggests that there are people who have been present when ouija boards have produced startling responses.
But as they say, if you gave enough monkeys enough time, one of them would eventually end up writing the works of Shakespeare. And although the lottery is 24,000,000 to 1, someone wins almost every week even though there are fewer than that many tickets sold.
Just co-incidence.

I would consider it a big favor to all of humanity if all the ouija boards were burned. Don't play around with one to find out if they work or not.

Yes they do work. There are much better ways to connect with the world of spirit that are safe. please don't play with Ouija boards. It is not safe.

Hi, Many years ago my friends and i did an ouija board. The person took a lot of time to answer and when she did she said her name was Linda, that she was 5, and she wanted her dad. I have to admit that when the glass started to move i took my finger away and sat back away from the board. None of my friends knew that there had been a little girl called Linda, who was 5 that had lived in our house before us. Her mum committed suicide and Linda found her she was overcome by the gas fumes and had also died. Linda had been very close to her dad. We never told anyone about the strange happenings in our home, so i can honestly, hand on heart say yes they do work.

Speaking as a scientist and born sceptic I'd say no but having spoken to quite a few people who are not generally possessed of vivid imaginations but who are scared stiff of them I think I'll reserve judgement.

YESSS don't even believe people when they say they don't work, or it's your subconcious or you unknowingly moving it.
Cuz I never believed in it either, till one day my friend and I decided to use one.....the first time it started moving his face was completely priceless lol. I was like "are you moving that?" Then he's like "no, are you?" It was weirdddd. We've used it lotssss of times and I don't see why people are so scared of them! Nothing bad's ever happened to us, it's completely fine and reaaaally fun.
And to prove that it does work and it's not one of your friends moving it, think of a number in your head. Ask the spirit to move to the number and take your hands off. It works almost all the time, it's amazing!

In my opinion yes. As many years ago my friend had a board that we had out on a sleep over we were asking it many silly questions as 14 year old girls would do. My question was who would be my next boyfriend it gave the intials MW. I than asked had I met this boy it said no. I then asked who would be the next it gave the intial R. I met MW a few months later it was one of those chance things that his uncle lived at the bottom of the garden and he had seen me in the garden etc... I didn't know this boy but we went out for 4 months. We are now married. Our lives where never easy together but it was to last. R came into it many years later I only ever new his first name but he also played a major part in my life and MW's. My friend that night also asked who would be her first love she was told Ollie. Later when she was at sixth form her first proper boyfriend was an Ollie. She had long forgotten the board thing but I kept a diary at the time detailing all that had gone on that night. So there you go draw your own conclusions from the facts.
