Unfortunatley not. The USB ports on ALL DirecTV receivers are NOT enabled. So connecting a USB cable from/to the receiver/dvr will not work at all. The ONLY DirecTV units that CAN have the USB ports activated to enable transfering shows/movies or connecting it to a homes PC network are the DirecTV Tivo DVRs. This requires a third party software to do this.

DirecTV has the USB ports for "Future Use" according to their website. This has been their plab for at least 7 years now. If you have or purchase a DirecTV Tivo (NOT a DirecTV DVR+) then please send me an email and I can help you get all the info on how to modify the D Tivo units to be able to connect it to your mac computer..

think approximately a difficulty. as quickly as I ordered hd provider with Dish, they replaced out the field and placed up a 2nd dish pointed in a distinctive direction. They suggested that hd is on one satellite tv for pc and sd is on yet another. sturdy success
