Hey everyone,

I have a condenser dryer thats about 6 and a half years old, but it doesn't smell very fresh on the inside - As far as I can tell its not extremely bad but its just not a fresh smell. I notice this most straight after it has finished drying but its also there after its been idle for a while.

Tumble dryer sheets don't make much difference, and ive done a full service on the machine (Cleaned all the lint etc. from the interior of the machine + the system as a whole) but the unfresh smell still remains; my main concern is that this smell is getting onto my washed clothes but im not sure.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could do about this? maybe its normal? I don't know because ive never smelt anyone else's dryer :P

Thanks a lot!
Stephen.

My wife uses white vinegar in her wash...it eliminates the need for the toss n soft stuff too.

First, clean the inside of the dryer with Simple Green, unless you already have.

Then get some pot pouri in bags, the same scent, around 5-6, spray them with water, then put them in your dryer set on permanent press and dry for thirty minutes..

I read about someone who put liquid fabric softener on a wash cloth and let it dry completely, and then put it in your dryer like you would a regular dryer sheet.

don't leave damp clothes in there and get a really good drier sheet and leave one or two in there all the time i know you have but try a new one not downy if you cant get rid of it you might need a new unit you wouldn't want your clothes to smell bad
