that this is just another way of saying "we are staying the course" and now do you realize that they are two heads of the same ruling class elite that cares not a whit about you and I except as to how our sweat can increase their wealth and leisure and keep us subdued. Subjugation has been accomplished with co-optation by allowing us to think we all stood a chance of getting rich etc if you work hard and obey the law. We see now that that is the carrot which is working less and less and thus a shift to authoritarianism and tyranny is being implemented by the ruling class elite so aptly represented in a good cop/bad cop parody contained in the 2 party system

I``m not American so i suppose its none of my business but since that fact has never stopped me, i just want to say ,unless there is some crisis which gives the US no choice but to pull out of Iraq and deploy elsewhere your in for the long haul .The US is spending Billions on its new Embassy and military bases ,its obvious they intend to be there for decades .

Yeah, I don't agree with the way you've characterized the parties, but yes, that seems to be what is happening. At least a few on each side (Ron Paul for the Reps., and Richardson, Kucinich and Gravel for the Dems.) are still talking about doing a full withdrawal relatively quickly.

But it is amusing to hear Hillary go on about how "stay the course" is a bad idea, but we have to leave lots of troops in Iraq anyway. I'm just not clear on how that makes things different.

I think the Iraq thing is in China's hands they got the purse strings on Bush.
You got the hard work etc...... right. you work hard pay astronomical taxes, keep it legal and get your identity stolen then try to find a cop good or bad to take a report. Not gonna happen unless you got over $250,000 stolen. i.e if youre rich the cops and lawyers and courts will help you. Meantime we can toss the words "middle class" out the proverbial window.

As a lifelong Democrat, I unfortunately have to agree that at the moment it sure looks that way. How ANY American, let alone a supposed Democrat, can support any Bush policy at this point is beyond me. Increasingly, it seems we need an alternative, but the deck is stacked against that possibility. Sad.

I think you are right, people who don't think so,haven't looked yet. Arguing about democrats and republicans or cons. and libs. all keeps us occupied, and keeps us separated on issues that are important to the human race.

Not I.

To answer your rambling diatribe: You have choices, If you don't want "your sweat" to advance their wealth, then, don't work or them. If you don't like your representative then -Gasp!- vote for someone else.

"Choice", "It's not just for breakfast any more"
