What are some of the best, but least known, PS2 games?

Question

I've been playing Nintendo for like, my whole life. But now that I've gotten bored with my Wii, (until Metroid comes out), I kinda am thinking about buying a PS2. I know about God of War, and all that, but I want some games that not many people know about.

I already know about Dark Cloud 2, Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King, and ICO. MOAR PLZ.

By the way, the three you listed are stellar games, 3 of my absolute favorites. Check out Shadow of the Colossus if you like Ico. It's made by the same company. This game is very unique, it's like 16 epic boss battles. The Colossi are very impressive. It's worth checking out. IGN gave it a 9.7, here's their review:

I'm just gonna toss some out there that I like - you can always look up the titles on gamefaqs/gamespot and see whats more your type...some are well known, others not so much..

Beyond good and Evil
resident Evil 4 (best RE ever IMO)
Psychonauts
Okami
Tomb Raider Legend
tomb raider annivesary (remake of the PS1 TR)
Guitar Hero (1&2 are excellent, 80's not worth current price)
Baldurs Gate (1 and 2 - action RPGs)
Champions of Norrath
Final Fantasy (they are pretty much all playable on a PS2 - remember you can play PS1 games on it too!)
Shadow of the Colossus (same guys who did ICO)
Metal Gear 2 and 3 (gameplay is excellent, tho the story may make you crazy...I liked em tho)
Star Wars: Battlefront (1&2)
Lego Star Wars (1&2 - sounds cheezy I know, but they are surprisingly good platformers)
